Good Morning! These are definitely interesting times. I am currently on Day 6 of Self-Isolation, as much of the world is, and living alone, keeping my sanity through all this is of key importance to me. What has worked for me is having a daily schedule. So far, I am fortunate enough to be able to work from home which does keep me busy 5 days of the week. However, the weekends I wanted to remain somewhat productive. I’ve included my schedule below for my weekends. This has been pretty good so far and my spirits are up, at least thus far. 🙂
9:00am – wake up and work out (I never get to sleep in until 9am so I’ve decided to take advantage of this! – no getting out of bed until 9am!)
9:30am – make breakfast and get ready for the day (this has been important to me – keeping some form of routine)
10:00am – Blog
11:00am – morning healthy snack – usually fruit (trying to maintain good eating habits)
11:15am – Go out only for needed groceries/supplies. (I also check with my parents to see if they need anything)
12:15pm – Lunch
12:45pm – play some games to stimulate my brain on IPAD/continue learning language (I am currently learning Italian on the app DuoLingo).
1:45pm – Free time to do anything that needs to be done or just to sit and do nothing/facetime family and friends
2:30pm – pm snack
2:45pm – walk outside ( I think its important to continue to get fresh air, just stay away from people lol)
3:15pm – clean/organize
5:00pm – Supper
6:00pm – Online Course – I’ve decided I’d like to take advantage of free time (something I don’t have much of in my “regular” life and learn something new. check out www.Alison.com for many free courses in all areas!
7:30pm – watch some tv
9:00pm – Yoga
9:30pm – Read
10:00pm – Bedtime
My Sundays are similar but I swap out a few things, do some teaching prep (I teach dance) & working on something creative etc. Hopefully this helps or gives those who live alone some ideas on how to fill their days so not to get bored and/or lonely. 🙂 Stay safe everyone and keep healthy!
Happy Bubble Bath Day everyone! What a great excuse for some self-care! I try to have a bubble bath at least every Sunday Night. Its a little relaxation time from a busy week and I definitely look forward to it every weekend! I like to grab a cup of tea or a glass of wine (depending on the week I’ve had, ha!, grab a book and my Ipad and watch a show or two – I also end my bath with a face mask! Its a great way to wind down and start a new week! What are your self-care routines?
Find some products I like to use for my bubble baths below that you can easily order from Amazon.ca.
January is National Blood Donor Month. This is something that I truly believe every one should do, or at least try to do, once in their lifetime and hopefully, if successful, many more times afterwards. It truly is the easiest thing to do and is so needed. So many patients across the Country require this life saving donation. I highly recommend you visit your local blood donation clinic and give it a try, for about 30-60 minutes of your time you could be saving a life!
In Canada, you can visit www.blood.ca for more information. If you are unable to physically donate, you could consider donating financially or with your time as a volunteer. As I am unable to donate blood in January I decided to donate a small amount of $10.00. I also plan to book my next blood donation appointment for February 4th!
Happy to say that on the 4th it will be my 11th donation! Have you ever donated blood? Ever thought about it? Let me know in the comments below ❤️
I am a very visual person and so this year I have decided to create a Vision Board for 2020. I do believe that seeing something every day can definitely kick start them coming into reality. I have decided to create an online Vision Board, you can check it out here and follow if you would like. I will also be adding to my Vision Board throughout the year.
Do you create a Vision Board? Has it worked for you? What is on your 2020 Vision Board? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂
At the end of this week I’ve learned a few lessons,:
1. If someone has done something that bothers you, tell them, communication is important and your feelings are valid, and someone who truly cares for you will try to be understanding of that.
2. When someone passes the blame and takes drastic actions for an insignificant situation – there is a deeper problem at hand and should be a warning sign.
3. I have such wonderful friends and family in my life who know who I am and care for me 100%. Through this all and being made to feel unloved and unworthy by one individual, i was made to feel anything but by many. Choose your tribe wisely!(it has been reinforced this week that I have).
4. Always forgive, we all make mistakes, but if someone apologizes and is willing to take the time to try and understand, allow it, keep an open mind and heart always ♥️
Ok so today is going to be a bit of a smaller update as I have been feeling slightly under the weather! I’ve been doing relatively well with my previous challenges. Still always room for improvement. This week I’m hoping to be more consistent with my skin care routine ☺️
Hello all! So my update for this week: I’ve been trying to incorporate more fruit and veg into my breakfasts – so far I’ve been doing ok- I missed 2 breakfasts out of 7, but coming from somebody who wouldn’t eat a breakfast on the daily – I still consider that an improvement. 😀 I will keep working on it in week 3.
Drinking water has been steady and so has been reading my self development book every morning.
For the upcoming week I will be doing 5 min of meditation in the morning and a 15 min at home workout every morning. I am using the calm app for meditation and YouTube workouts at the moment.
So far implementing changes in a smaller scale has been helpful and I hope will help keep me on track to making these regular habits 😁
First of all I’d like to apologize for the lack of posting – it’s been incredibly busy and I have totally lacked any kind of motivation. However, after having a break over the holidays and having some much needed downtime, this last point leads me to my goals for 2019. I’m attempting to start a New Years resolution or more aptly a challenge for 2019. My hope is to make small (<- key word) changes or to begin forming some “new” habits. My end result is to hopefully end 2019 in an overall healthier spot and to create small habits so I can continue for years to come 😁. I’m also doing this as I go, so here we go.
